ערוץ 10Veeam® Software announced that Channel 10 has replaced Commvault’s backup solution with Veeam Availability Suite to ensure Always-On Business and to upgrade its availability information system.  Channel 10, one of two leading TV channels in Israel,  broadcasting to millions of households in Israel, cannot afford uncontrolled computers downtimes and needs a reliable availability solution.

"For the last four years we have used Commvault’s backup solution," says Kobi More Zedek, CIO of Channel 10, "but we chose to replace it with Veeam Availability Suite, which is characterized by a simple, intuitive way of operation and much faster data recovery than all competing solutions in the market. In our dynamic 24/7 world, we are required to provide our broadcasts with around the clock availability, high accessibility, agility and  ease of use – all these and more are embodied by Veeam's availability solutions. "

"Veeam Availability Suite also provides a range of enhanced capabilities, such as restoring individual items from the Exchange, or restoring additional applications such as Active Directory, SQL and Oracle, the guidance and support of Veeam’ team  adds to the customer sense of confidence in relaying on Veeam solutions. Also, the solution is highly cost-competitive, so with little hesitation, we purchased in advance for license for three years", added More Zedek.

Amir Marouani, Regional Presales Manager, Veeam says: "We closely accompanied Channel 10 through the transition from the legacy backup solution to the new availability solution during which we proved that even in major servering disable event, as recently happened with three servers, the recovery process took less than half an hour, including Linux and windows recovery , as well as recovery of individual items from the Exchange."

"A company like Channel 10, which broadcasts to millions of households in Israel cannot afford uncontrolled computers downtime. The company's customers are not tolerant to such stumbles. Therefore Channel 10 had to implement full Availability solution allowing it to be Always-On" added Marouani.

Channel 10’s IT system controls also News 10 and Nana 10 and provides services to approximately 600 employees. Veeam Availability Suite  has been implemented by the IT group of Channel 10, with close support of Veeam experts and Zebra Technologies, Veeam’ Gold pro-partner in Israel. Channel 10 also uses Veeam Endpoint Backup Free – solution for backing up Windows-based desktops and laptops
